Services offered by Wholeness Occupational Therapy Fairland are Sensory Integration, Sound Therapy, Interactive Metronome and DIR Floortime.
Occupational Therapy focuses on providing children and adults with tools to be able to function in day to day life.
Sensory Integration
Sensory Integration is a term that is used to describe processes in the brain that allows us to take information in from our senses, organize it and to respond to it appropriately. Sensory Integration therapy is a therapeutic approach based on this theory.
Tomatis Sound Therapy
Tomatis Sound Therapy is a revolutionary sound training program that strengthens the ear and energizes the brain, improving many areas of functioning such as auditory- and sensory processing, emotional regulation, speech- and motor development, attention, learning abilities, energy levels & communication skills.
Interactive Metronome
Interactive Metronome is a 12 to 15 day computer based program that involves body movements and is designed to improve timing, attention, coordination, processing speed, speech,working memory, regulation and many other areas of functioning in both children and adults.
DIR Floortime
DIR Floortime is an intervention approach that promotes child development on an emotional- and sensory level, through play and meaningful interaction with parents and others. Essentially the focus is on getting on the floor and engaging with a child on their level.
